The Texas A&M Aggies production of NFL talent is nothing to take lightly. The Aggies have produced playmakers on both sides of the ball. Defensive tackle Justin Madubuike is another Aggie that is making his way to the NFL and will hear his name called on draft weekend.
Madubuike does a great job of keeping his pads low and using his hands effectively to strike at opposing offensive linemen. Madubuike is quick enough to spy the quarterback and keep him in the pocket. Madubuike is an agile defensive tackle and uses the agility well to keep opposing offensive linemen off balance. Madubuike is a versatile player which will serve him well in the NFL, he has played all over the defensive line, and plenty of teams will love his versatility.
I would like to see his effort improve and become more consistent. Madubuike will have trouble fending off double teams and that is something teams will need to take account as the draft looms. One final item that Madubuike will work on is getting more explosion coming out of the snap and being able to get into the backfield.
The versatility that Madubuike will keep teams interested and cause them to place a priority on getting a defensive lineman that could move all over the line. I have Madbuike going in the late first to early second round. Madubuike is one of the players that has some upside and potential to be starting in the NFL over the next few seasons.
