The Alabama Crimson Tide has developed one of the most explosive offenses in college football. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has been a key component of that offense over the past two seasons. The question for Jeudy is not if he is going to be drafted, but where in the first round will he land?
The production is there for Jeudy, he racked up 77 receptions for 10 touchdowns and 1,163 yards receiving last season. Jeudy is a terrific route runner and has proven that he can defeat press coverage. Perhaps the most impressive attribute of Jeudy’s game is his body control near the sideline, the young man always seems to have a good idea of where he is at on the field at all times. Jeudy’s speed when it comes to the run after the catch, is exactly what NFL teams are looking for in a wide receiver.
Must work on catching the football and avoiding drops at bad times. Needs to work on going across the middle and catching the football before he runs. Even with the drops Jeudy just has something special, that teams are looking for in a playmaking wide receiver.
Jeudy did nothing to affect his draft stock in adverse way at the combine. I still have Jeudy as a top 15 selection, but I think the possibility exists for him to go earlier. Jeudy should have a productive pro career, with the potential to become a star.
