Home of the NFL Offseason

#14 Nevelle Clark
HT: 6’0-7/8″
WT: 179
Year: Senior
High School: Taravella (Miami, FL)
Accolades: Shrine Bowl. NFL Combine.

Scouting Report: CB Nevelle Clark, UCF

Speed/Athleticism: Nevelle Clark doesn’t appear to have the best athleticism in the class. He’s quick, but he doesn’t recover well, and he doesn’t seem to have great speed. Might be closer to a 4.6 forty yard dash than most expect.

Man/Press Coverage Ability: Clark can play him some press coverage. Stays physical throughout the route and disrupts timing very well, especially within that first five yards. Man coverage is the overall strength of his.

Zone Coverage Ability: Plays very good zone coverage. Get’s just enough depth, and understands how to take throw lanes away. He operates very well within his zone. He makes a lot of plays from it.

Ball Skills: Ball skills are there for Clarke. Plays zone coverage well and creates opportunities to make plays on the football.

Tackling/Pursuit: Clarke shows exceptional tackling ability. Plays with a fierce, physical style that’s honestly a little intimidating to receivers. Pursuit angles are oftentimes poor.

Mental Aspect

Football IQ/Awareness: N/A.

Leadership/Personality: N/A.

Honestly, Nevelle Clarke is one of the better cornerback prospects that I have viewed this season so far. He plays well to the football, attacks with urgency and plays with good strength. His size is going to be a concerning factor for teams, but I do believe that he can play in the slot as early as his rookie season and develop into an outside cornerback. I’d look for him in late day-two or early day-three. He has the skill set to be a very good cornerback in this league.
