The Clemson Tigers are a loaded college football team and with that comes plenty of talent entering the NFL draft. Tee Higgins is another Clemson skill position player that has caught the eyes of NFL scouts and will likely hear his name called in the early rounds of the draft. Higgins has the potential to be a sleeper for a team that is in need of a playmaker at wide receiver.
Several teams need playmakers and Tee Higgins fits that description perfectly. Higgins is a great athlete and that will make it difficult for opposing cornerbacks. At 6’4”, Higgins has the ability to make contested receptions look very easy. Higgins is excellent in the red zone and gives the quarterback an athletic target. Higgins is impressive when he brings in the catch, he has no problem creating plays and is simply a fearless wide receiver. Higgins speed is impressive getting into his routes and will make scouts take notice when he is in the open field.
Higgins must improve his blocking and helping get his teammates room to run. I would also like to see him improve his route running, but when you are as athletic as Higgins it will make up for a great deal when it comes to route running. The strengths far outweigh the weaknesses as far as Tee Higgins is concerned.
The draft projection for Higgins is mid-first to early-second route drat selection. I do not see Higgins falling out of the first round, but stranger things have happened on draft day.
