Kyle Dugger scouting report
Athleticism: Kyle Dugger is extremely athletic. Reminds me of last season’s Nasir Adderley in the sense that he was the best football player on the field every time he stepped foot upon it. He has good speed, probably in the 4.5 forty range.
Tackling/Hit Power: Excellent tackling form. He provides steady power and drives through opponents. Rarely misses tackle opportunities. It’s hard to gage how well he really does tackle because of the size differential that he faced in D-II as opposed to what he will face in the NFL.
Coverage Ability: He’s a good zone coverage player for the most part. He has a bad habit of not trusting his eyes and moving straight out of the play.
Football IQ/Instinct: Instinct is inconsistent. This leads me to believe that he watches a lot of tape and sometimes doesn’t trust what he sees on the field. Shows good, strong potential and ability.
Overall: The first thing that really stands out about Kyle Dugger is his tremendous size. He’s significantly bigger than most everyone on the field. The Senior Bowl will be huge for Dugger, who will be playing against an elevated level of competition. A great Senior Bowl will boost his stock, otherwise, NFL teams will be very cautious about taking him. Day two guy for me.
